Not sure whether your tree needs pruning, treatment, monitoring or removal? An on-site conversation with a knowledgeable arborist can help you understand what you are seeing and what—if anything—should happen next.
Marv’s Tree Service offers a free 30-minute arborist consultation at your Omaha-area property. We will listen to your concerns, visually review the tree and surrounding area, and talk through practical options.
Our goal is to give you useful, honest guidance without using fear to sell unnecessary work.
Availability may be limited during storm response and other high-volume periods.
A consultation can be useful when:
A consultation does not automatically mean your tree needs a service. Sometimes monitoring the tree and watching for specific changes is the most reasonable next step.
When scheduling, describe your concern and identify the tree or trees you would like to discuss. Photos can help us understand the general situation before arriving.
An arborist will visually review the tree and its surroundings with you. We may discuss the canopy, trunk, branches, visible roots, soil conditions, nearby structures and any recent changes to the property.
We will explain what we observe in understandable terms. Depending on the concern, possible next steps may include monitoring, pruning, treatment, protecting the root zone, removing a tree or obtaining a more detailed assessment.
If work is recommended and falls within the services Marv’s provides, we can explain the next step for obtaining a written estimate. When more than one approach is reasonable, we may provide options so you can compare the benefits, limitations and costs.

Our Nebraska Arborist Association-certified arborists understand the species, soil conditions, pests and weather patterns that affect local trees.
We believe mature trees should be preserved when it is reasonable to do so. We also believe homeowners deserve straightforward information when pruning, treatment or removal is warranted.
You will receive practical guidance based on the tree and property in front of us—not a one-size-fits-all sales pitch.

Yes. Marv’s offers a free 30-minute on-site consultation to discuss your tree concerns and possible next steps. Availability may be limited during storms and other high-volume periods.
Yes. The arborist consultation is conducted on site so we can visually review the tree and understand its relationship to nearby structures, landscaping and other surroundings.
Your consultation will be conducted by an arborist with local tree-care knowledge. Marv’s has arborists certified through the Nebraska Arborist Association.
We listen to your concerns, visually review the tree and surrounding area, explain what we observe and discuss reasonable next steps. If professional work appears appropriate, we can explain how to obtain an estimate.
No formal report is included with the free consultation. Our findings are normally discussed verbally. A formal written tree risk assessment is available upon request as a separate paid service.
When the recommended work falls within Marv’s services, we can explain the next step for receiving a written estimate. Depending on the situation, the estimate may include more than one option so you can compare approaches.
Choose a consultation when you are unsure what the tree needs or want to discuss several possible approaches. If you already know that you need a specific service—such as tree removal, stump grinding or routine pruning—you can request an estimate directly.
Some concerns can be identified or narrowed down through visible symptoms and site conditions. Others may require a closer inspection, testing or additional services. We will explain what can and cannot be determined from the initial visual review.
Yes. We can discuss the tree’s visible condition, structure, location, potential targets and your goals. A defect does not automatically require removal, and we will explain when pruning, monitoring or another approach may be reasonable.
Tell us how many trees you are concerned about when scheduling. The free consultation is limited to 30 minutes, so properties with numerous trees or complex concerns may require additional time or a separate paid consultation.
Photographs can help us understand the general concern, but they rarely show everything needed to evaluate roots, branch attachments, trunk defects and surrounding targets. An on-site visit provides better context.
Tell us about the storm damage when scheduling. Keep people and pets away from hanging branches, unstable trees and downed power lines. Urgent storm situations may need to be handled differently from a routine consultation.
Yes. Formal written assessments are available upon request as a specialized paid service. They are separate from the free consultation and from a standard tree-work estimate.
Yes. Senior discounts are available. Ask about the current details when scheduling or requesting an estimate.
Availability varies throughout the year. Appointments may be limited during severe-weather response and peak tree-care seasons. Contact us for the next available date.
Tell us what you have noticed, which trees concern you and whether anything recently changed. Photos are welcome when they can be taken safely.
We will meet with you at the property, talk through the visible conditions and help you identify an appropriate next step.
Our Omaha tree service will happily get back to you as promptly as possible, usually within 24 or 48 hours via email.
